Weaverville, North Carolina, is a small town located about 10-15 minutes North of Downtown Asheville.
It’s one of the fastest growing communities in the Asheville region, as well as a fast growing real estate market.
In the 1800s, Weaverville, was surpisingly known for hotels. It served as a community for Southerners to escape the heat of summer in a mountain vista. With a railroad connecting to Merrimon Avenue, just outside Asheville, Weaverville was a convenient retreat.
Weaverville’s main street features resturants like Blue Mountain Pizza, Twisted Laurel, and Soba. As well as an assortments of shops, artist stuidos, galleries, and popular coffee spots like Well-Bred Bakery and Allgood Coffee.
The town features Lake Louise, which has a park and a walking path that surrounds the lake. If you explore a little, you’ll find a cove where there’s a waterfall and an old red water mill.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is not too far either. It’s about 8 miles east of downtown Weaverville, via Reems Creek Road and Ox Creek Road.
